My Mission
As the proud owner of a woman-led business catering to Seattle-Tacoma, my mission is rooted in empowerment and uplifting, whether it be through the lens of creativity or in the genuine interactions we form. In every session or project, I aim to curate an environment that radiates comfort and confidence while delivering high-quality pieces of art. Each photograph and video is an opportunity to create something truly extraordinary.
My Story
Photography has always been a hobby since I was little. I can remember my mom giving me disposable cameras back in the 2000s. It has always been a beautiful outlet where I turn my imaginations into reality. The process and working with so many different types of people is what turned it into my passion. Shortly into my College years in 2017 is when I started to take it more seriously.
When I had my son in 2020, I knew it was time to invest in myself and my dreams. Starting a family can be challenging, but one of my biggest fears (besides spiders) is not pushing myself to my full potential. Being a mom has absolutely made me better at what I do. I treat my sessions and projects with more intention and life because of my experiences.
I’m beyond thankful to be on this journey and have had the opportunities to work with such wonderful people. Here’s to 6+ years of Mia K Visuals LLC!
I do a lot of different types of photography and videography–I truly love them all. BUT, I will say, my favorite thing is when my Clients allows me full creative control. I have endless ideas that are waiting to come alive.
I love creating unique set designs when I’m photographing in studio or outdoors.
When I’m not behind the camera, I channel my passion for arts education and nonprofit work as the Development Director at Photographic Center Northwest.
My favorite things in life are my family, making DIY hair and skin tings, music, game nights with friends, traveling and relaxation.
I’m a born and raised Washingtonian who loves wearing sweatsuits and sneakers.
Sometimes, I pull inspiration from historical paintings. I like to reimagine what that scene would look like with people from different cultures and ethnicities.
